改革开放三十年来，中国的旅游事业迅速发展，世贸组织预计到2020年，中国将成为世界第一大旅游客源输出国和第四大旅游目的地国，而旅游的大发展更需要别具一格的创意策划和传播推广才能更上一层楼。
王国平从二十多年前在上海电视台做导演时无意识地拍摄风光片到如今自觉有意识地进入到鲜有人问津的旅游传播领域，并取得了斐然成绩，其创新精神可喜可嘉。最近，上海市领导又提出要将上海建设成世界著名旅游城市的新目标，2010年上海世博会即将举办，旅游传播必将大有作为，我们衷心祝愿王国平和他的“游有由”团队用智慧和热情，为宣传中国和上海旅游形象，为推介世界各国旅游形象，做永远创新的旅游传播先锋。

The Shanghai municipal leadership group has recently advanced the new proposal for Shanghai to be made a world famous tourist city. With the approach of the 2010 Shanghai Expo, tourism image promotion will have a very significant role to play.
